Meet our team

We have a fantastic team of experienced music therapists. The team deliver music therapy in a range of settings including Bristol Children’s Hospital, schools and residential homes. And they have extensive experience of working with children, young people and adults.

All our therapists are qualified and are state registered with the Health and Care Professions Council. As part of that registration they take part in regular clinical supervision and pursue a programme of continuing professional development.

Members of our team have presented at British Association for Music Therapy conferences; served as placement managers helping train masters students; undertaken a range of further qualifications, including Neurologic Music Therapy (NMT), Neonatal Intensive Care Unit Music Therapy (NICU-MT), and Supervision.

Outcomes and Assessment: we use a range of methods to assess the impact of our sessions. All our therapists are qualified in the use of Outcomes Stars, a widely recognised service evaluation toolkit, which includes a specific measure for music therapy. Our therapists also write client reports, liaise with other professionals around our clients and can draw upon a range of other measures to assess outcomes in individual cases.

Safeguarding: we take safeguarding of children, young people and adults very seriously; all therapists have enhanced DBS checks and have regular safeguarding training.
